# How can I block or allow an IP address or IP range?

You can create a rule to **block or allow a specific IP address or a group of IP addresses**.
1. Go to **Fraud Protection > IPs**.
2. Select **Add IP rule**.
3. Enter an **IP address, CIDR block, or IP range**.
4. Choose what should happen:
   * **Block them** - visitors matching the IP rule will see your blocked page.
   * **Always allow them** - visitors matching the IP rule can access your store.
5. Add a **rule name** to help you remember why you created the rule.
6. You can also add an optional **note** for your team.
7. Select **Save rule**.

### Example
To block one IP address:
`203.0.113.10`
To block a group of IP addresses, you can use a CIDR block:
`192.1.200.20/25`
We will show you the IP range covered by the CIDR block before you save the rule.
