# Upsell vs Cross-Sell?

|| Upselling and Cross-selling are industry-standard techniques used to significantly boost your sales when put into practice well.

## Upsell

* Upselling is the strategy of **encouraging customers to purchase an expensive version of the existing product.**

  Examples:

* Suggesting an iPhone 12 with 10% off for customer who is about to buy an iPhone 11.

* Domino's employee suggest a large pizza with good offer while you are ordering a regular sized pizza.
      `In UFE adding upsell product replaces the the original product in cart`

## Cross-Sell

* Cross-selling is **suggesting the customer an additional or complementary product** that will go well with the one they are already selected.

 `Trigger Product will be added to cart along with the offer products`

Examples:

* An iPhone 12 purchase page with offer on iPhone cases and screen protectors.

* Domino's employee ask "Sir/Mam, would you like to have a coke with it".
